Michigan, Wisconsin, and Ontario, Canada are fortunate to have several highly-trained, all-volunteer ground SAR teams and K-9 SAR teams dedicated to assisting families in their search for a missing loved one.

Keep in mind that most of these teams will not be able to you assist you unless they are working with the approval of the agency in charge of your missing loved one's case.

Most have websites and Facebook pages that will turn up with a bit of searching.

To learn more about K-9 SAR resources — which can be confusing — read Using the Right Tool for the Job, by Don Stephens, which was published in the May 14, 2016 issue of NASAR eNews by the National Association for Search and Rescue (NASAR).

If you need a referral for a ground SAR team and/or a K-9 SAR team to work on your missing loved one's case, feel free to reach out to Michael Neiger at mneiger@hotmail.com
